There’s nothing more important in life than family. Sue DiMaggio Adams and her daughter, Kathie DiMaggio Stein, would certainly agree with this sentiment. Kathie is a Walnut Creek native and a University of California, Berkeley graduate. As a former collegiate athlete she still enjoys staying active and loves hiking, biking and swimming. Both she and her husband, Roger, are huge sports fans and enjoy supporting the local area’s sports teams.
Kathie’s passion for sports can be tied back to another strong family connection. When people see the “DiMaggio” that both Sue & Kathie proudly carry in their names, they often make the association with baseball legend Joltin’ Joe DiMaggio. Sue was his daughter-in-law and ensured her kids played integral parts in his family life. Kathie reflects, “My grandfather taught me a great deal about the importance of respect, responsibility, hard work and dedication.”
